- How much does Home Poker System cost?
- Absolutely nothing. Registration
is free and all current functionality is 100% free. There's no hidden fees and no
secret scams. There's no place to enter a credit card, a social security number,
or anything of the sort.
- If everything is free, how does the
site make any money?
- Like many websites
these days, advertising is the main source of income for Home Poker System. While
there are ads placed on the site, there will never be any popup ads and I'll always
try to make sure the ads are appropriate and remain as unobtrusive as possible.
- Will I be spammed once I sign up?
- The only emails you'll
receive from this website are important site updates or email invitations to games
other users have sent you. Your email address will never be sold to a third party.
- How do I contact the site owner?
- Easy. Just head on over
to the contact form and send in any questions, comments,
or anything else you feel like sending.
- My league page says I need to create
a "season", how do I do this?
- If you are your league's
administrator, you can click on the "Manage Seasons" link in the upper right hand
corner of your league page (once you've logged in). This will take you to a page
that will list all the seasons you've already created. To add a new season, click
the "Add Season" button at the bottom of the page. Fill in the season information
(such as title and date range) and click "Save". You should now see your newly created
season.
- How do I add players to my league?
- League admins can click
the "Manage Players" link in the upper right hand corner of the league page to add,
edit, and delete players. To add a new player, click the "Add Player" button at
the bottom of the "Manage Players" page. Fill in the form and click "Save" to add
the player. If you fill out an email address, you may check the "Email Join Link"
checkbox to send that player an email invitation that will include a join link for
them to join the website under your league. Emailing players the link is only required
if you want them to be able to log into the website. You can email the link at any
time (even after they've already been added) by clicking on the player's name on
the "Manage Players" page.
- How do I add a new location?
- Before you can schedule
a game, you'll need to add a location for that game to be played at. To do this,
click on the "Manage Locations" link in the upper right hand corner of your league
page. Next, click the "Add Location" button at the bottom. Fill out the location
information and click "Save". Your location will then be added to your league and
will be able to be selected for new games.
- How do I schedule games?
- To schedule a new game,
all you need to do is head to the "Manage Games" page by following the link in the
upper right hand corner of your league page. Next, click on the "Schedule Game"
button on the bottom of the page. Fill out the game information (such as title,
date and time, and buy in) and click "Save". You're game is now scheduled!
- How do I send out invitations to a game?
- Once you've scheduled
a new game you can get to the invitation and RSVP page by clicking on the "Manage
Games" link and then clicking on the "Manage" link next to the game you'd like to
send invitations with. This will bring you to a page with a list of all players
currently added to your league. The list will show you the name, email, the date
you sent them an invitation, and the date they RSVP'd. You can check the checkboxes
next to any players that have an email address then click the "Send Invites" button
at the bottom of the page. This will send out email invitations with RSVP links
to the selected players.
- How do I add league news?
- To add news to your league,
just click the "Manage News" link. Next, click the "Add News" button at the bottom
of the page. Fill out a title and message for your news and click "Save". Your news
will then show up on your league page with your name and the date it was submitted.
